Raw
The raw material is the root and leaf - Angelicae Radix et Folium silvestris. Herbs should be collected in the spring and early summer and dry in normal temperature. The roots dug in the fall or spring and dried in a slightly heated oven (approximately 50 - 60o C).
The chemical composition
The plant is an essential oil with felandrenem derivatives furanocoumarins (umbelliferone) , resins, bitter, Angelica acid, valeric quarter, salts, vitamins, angelicyna , lactones .

Extracts of the herb and roots are calming , smooth muscle relaxant , strengthens the heart, stimulates the respiratory center , diuretic , diaphoretic , strongly cholagogic , warming , wiatropędnie , pain , regulate metabolism and bowel movements . In larger doses, acting narcotic .
Indications: infectious diseases , fatigue, digestive problems , slow metabolism , abnormal secretion and flow of bile, nervous exhaustion , infections of the respiratory system, diseases of the skin against the hormonal and metabolic malfunction , chlorosis , cyanosis of the hands, constipation, poor circulation, peripheral and cerebral .
