Description

Shrub up to 4 m in height ; twigs young angular, with a reddish tinge ; foliage opposite , leaves 3 -5- dłoniastoklapowe , coarsely , unevenly serrated , gray-green underside , mossy , with top light green petioles long, naked , in the top of the green warts , lacecap inflorescences , flowers white , yellowish or pinkish ; fruit - egg-shaped , red, 1 - seed drupe . Raw

For therapeutic uses bark , flowers , leaves and fruits - Cortex , Flos , Folium et Fructus Viburni opuli .

Korovin be obtained from the second half of February to May . Fruits are harvested in October. Both raw materials dried at the temperature 20- 60o C.

Flowers and leaves are harvested at the beginning of or during flowering and dried at 40 ° C. for Korovin can be bought in store herbal - pack of 25 g


 

The chemical composition

The bark, leaves, flowers and fruits contain a glycoside bitter - viburninę ( 7% ), alcohols , phenolic quarter of formic acid, acetic quarter , quarter isovaleric quarter of palmitic acid, sitosterol , saponins (the highest in the fruit ) , tannins - to 3 % , vit. C (leaves , fruits , flowers) , sugars ( up to 30% of fruit ) , salikozyd , coumarins , flavonoids, triterpenes .

 

Action

The bark, leaves and flowers were diuretics , przeciwkrwotocznie , relaxant , sedative , cholagogue , anti-inflammatory , reduces blood pressure, seal and strengthen blood vessels .

Fruit extracts act as an expectorant , diaphoretic , strengthening , diuretic , lowering blood pressure.

Frozen fruits ( such as a refrigerator , but should be applied unless we put them after the frost ) are a good agent for treating the common cold combined with a cough .

Indications ( bark , leaves, flowers) : dysmenorrhea, uterine hemorrhage , uterine atony , menopause , puberty , stimulation of the nerve during pregnancy , before menstruation and during menstruation , prone to premature births , oliguria , abnormal urination during pregnancy and menstruation, inflammation appendages , hypertension , peptic ulcer , bleeding from the nose , cracking and permeability of blood vessels ( purpura ) , excessive and irregular menstrual bleeding , vaginal discharge ( drink a decoction or infusion , and at the same time be used to flush the vagina or sitz baths ) .

  • Chestnut leaf - 1 tablespoon

Mix. 2 tablespoons of mixture pour 250 ml of boiling water , let stand for 30 minutes, strain , drink 3-4 times a plot of 150 ml . Indications : excessive and irregular menstrual bleeding , vaginal discharge ( while drinking a brew and use sitz baths (30 minutes ) , bleeding pozamiesiączkowe , inflammation of the appendages , nosebleeds , vascular rupture , hypertension, inflammation of the kidneys , bloody diarrhea , cystitis, hematuria , disease ulcer , urolithiasis .

  • Lemon balm leaf - 1 tablespoon
  • Herb mistletoe - 1 tablespoon
  • Herb or flower lamium - 1 tablespoon
  • Horsetail herb - 1 tablespoon
  • Herb or flower yarrow - 1 tablespoon
  • Herb celandine - 1 tablespoon
  • Angelica root - 1 tablespoon

Mix.

3 tablespoons of mixture pour 2 cups of water , bring to a boil , let stand for 30 minutes and strain. Drink 3-4 times a plot of 150 ml .

Indications: excessive, scanty , irregular and painful menstrual bleeding , vaginal discharge ( at the same time use sitz baths ) , nervous exhaustion , restlessness , inflammation of the appendages , anxiety , stress, insomnia , tendency to cry during menstruation , atherosclerosis, rupture of blood vessels, skin diseases , digestive disorders , abdominal pain, and the post - menopause.
