Flax oil - Polish Gold 3/4 ratio of omega-3 to omega-6.

Given that the omega-3 and omega-6 have different biological properties, it is important to correct the proportion of these acids in diet. Various information is available on this subject.Recommended appropriate ratio of o6: o3 fluctuates between 1:1 and 4:1 (four-fold advantage omega-6). However, note that the majority of oil consumption will providing very high doses of omega-6 and the very small - omega-3.

This proportion varies between 10:1 and 50:1. Only flax oil has inverse ratio of these fatty acids, of approximately 1:3, in favor of omega-3. When coupled with linseed oil to the diet low-fat, get a substantial increase in the proportion of omega-3 in diet. However, if we make this oil into your diet high-fat, the ratio will be improved to a lesser extent.

Take, for example. A person on a high fat diet (Np.optymalnej) solid fat eating 160g per day (butter, lard, lard, cream). Suppose that about 25% or about 40g to omega-6, while only 1-5g to omega-3. Consumption of 2 tablespoons (30g) of oil flax provides about 15g of omega-3 and omega-6 5g. The ratio of o6: o3 is thus approximately 45: 15-20 which is 2.5-3: 1 Two tablespoons of linseed oil so this is the amount sufficient to raise the proportion in the vicinity of the recommended proportions.

It will however not enough to get the recommended 1:1 ratio for example by supporters of omega-3 in certain diseases (eg, rheumatic). This would significantly reduce the consumption of either or other fats significantly increase the consumption of linseed oil. Suppose that the intake of other fats would be 80g, and add to the 4 tablespoons of flaxseed oil (60g). The ratio of o6: o3 will then be 30:30 = 1:1 (omega-6: 20 grams of other fat + 10 g of linseed oil; Omega-3: 30 g of linseed oil). These calculations are highly estimated, since much depends on what are these other fats. Nevertheless, give an approximate picture of the situation.Notice also that in order to reverse the ratio of o6: o3 must be almost completely limiting fat intake to linseed oil, as recommended by Dr. Budwig, chief researcher on this issue, nominated for his test several times for the Nobel Prize.

Diesel oil to uneven

I will now discuss the differences between the different oils linen on the market. I have to say that confusion is enormous and access to information was very limited. Unfortunately, the virtually none of the available oil in the market is not written what is the content or the ratio of o6: o3. Is given only to the total content of all acids wielonnienasyconych (o6 + o3) together, without demarcation, which is where acid. This is of course deeply misunderstanding, as well as a contribution to advertising fraud.

Variation of the contents of omega-3 in linseed oil is very high and It goes from 2% to 52%.

I am not a specialist in the process of technological processes oils and flax subspecies differing proportions of these acids so it's hard to explain to me where does such a huge difference omega-3 content in these products. However, it is a fact.

All I am aware of the types of linseed oils available for purchase shopping characterized by a low content of omega-3 of 2% or slightly more. The rest is mostly omega-6. They contain so practically the same ratio of o6: o3 as other oils. Competent oil linseed oil containing 50% omega-3 is not commercially available because the need to eat within 2 months of the embossing. It can be to buy from small private manufacturers (not sure whether they really It contains lots of omega-3). We should also mention that the fatty acids omega-3 can also be purchased in capsules at a pharmacy. But if we look, what is the content of these acids in one capsule, quickly understand that this is a very small amount - usually the order of 0.2-0.5g. One tablespoon linseed oil containing about 7 g of omega-3 is therefore equivalent to about 10-30 capsules bought at a pharmacy. It should be noted, however, that the capsule contains immediately relevant kawsy omega-3 EPA and DHA, which in the case of oil lanianego must only synthesized from alpha-linolenic acid - the main constituent of this oil.
